for years i have seen the ways intersectionality is essential for progress and creating a better world. i started working on this series due to a specific climate disaster news story, however, it was informed by and has grown through all the news stories since then - the good and the bad. i created these pieces to bring hope and beauty into the conversation about mother earth and how we interact with the more than human world. yet, on a metaphorical level they also speak to power dynamics, namely those i have experienced as a queer woman in the world, but i hope others find resonance and connection in the work.

various life events have meant that i am not in the same type of studio setting anymore, making these drawings and paintings a bit more difficult.
however, through the changes i have continued to draw beautiful birds and patterns. these are focused more on the intent to celebrate the beauty of the more-than-human world.
