and we continue with the theme of consumption. you see it’s not just that we over consume, but that we are consuming and producing things that are not so helpful. with social media and the twenty-four hour news cycle there is so much attention given to sensational news, which often trends toward bad news.
constantly consuming bad news leads us to loosing hope, which is exactly what we cannot allow to happen. hope breeds energy and action, and that is what we need to make change happen.
try to curate your news like you do your food. its best to have a variety of sources, ones that make you feel good and energized and informed. next time you are consuming news think about the underlying message. there is bad news, of course, and it is important to stay knowledgeable about what is happening. but not to the point of hopelessness or burnout.
